Classy Professionalism with Down-Home Friendliness
By Randy Woods
Some relatively new kids on the real estate block are making quite a name for themselves in the Northwest Houston and Montgomery County areas. Sue Wick and Eddie Mullins, who together have more than 30 years real estate experience with other firms recently joined forces to create Wick-Mullins Realty Group, a firm specializing in residential real estate. But don’t let the newness of their organization fool you. This personable twosome own credentials in the competitive world of real estate that would reach to the stars and are the envy of their peers. Each can point with pride to their list of achievements. Sue, for example, entered the industry at the height of the residential boom in 1980 with Century 21 and spent the next 20 years in the RE/MAX organization. During that time she was voted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, became a member of the Platinum Club, was nominated Realtor of the year and was selected as Person of the Year by PEOPLE SCENE in 1993. Along the way, she also received her Certified Real Estate Specialist (CRS) designation and became an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR). Since 1996 she has been included in the prestigious list of the Top 1% of All Agents in the USA. That’s the top of the mountain in real estate. She figures that her gross billings over the years easily tops $200 million dollars. At one time Sue made a presentation to a major oil company that was moving 500 employees from California to Houston. On another, she developed a marketing campaign for a leading custom home builder and helped him sell all of his inventory. She also counseled a major manufacturing company in its move of 200 employees to Houston. Sue is regarded as “the person to see” if you’re moving up, out, or about in Cypresswood Glen, The Thicket and Candlelight Hills. She has sold and resold more homes there than any other realtor in 25 years. Eddie, who has an accounting degree from the University of Texas in Austin, has an equally impressive record in the world of real estate. He served for years as the Comptroller for Greenwood Properties, developers of Champion Forest, followed by a position with the commercial real estate firm of Cushman-Wakefield. He was the Regional Accounts Supervisor for some $12 million worth of accounts for Cushman-Wakefield. Later he went out on his own and was engaged in a highly successful land development business. He also returned to the University and presently is one class away from obtaining his second UT degree, this one in Computer Information Systems. Four years ago Sue and Eddie married and decided to pool their talents and resources by forming Wick-Mullins Realty Group. “In today’s fast-paced world where oftentimes the customer gets frustrated because he or she gets an answering machine and can’t talk to a real, live person,” Sue states, “we felt it was time to go back to the basics of old-fashioned customer service. And the people who work with us are committed to that philosophy, as well. When you call us, a real person with a smile in his or her voice – answers,” she says. It seems to be working. Everything about this new organization is classy and professional. Yet there is a friendly, down-home atmosphere that is refreshing. Sue Wick and Eddie Mullins are an award winning husband and wife team who have over 30 years real estate experience in the Houston area. They rank in the top ½% of all real estate agents in the United States. Their commitment to continuing education and up to date technology, plus their unmatched knowledge of the market, their hundreds of satisfied customers and their easy-going, helpful attitudes – give them a leg up on their competition. They are also the qualities that under grid their philosophy of successful realty operations.
